just had new motor and transmission put in a couple months ago - was driving down the street and suddenly stopped shifting gears - will sometimes go into reverse put not drive

sounds like either a front pump failure or a torque converter failure.

is this a new trans or a used trans?? do you have warranty???
did you check the fluid level??
