1992 this is cable driven

No cables starting with '89 models. The odometer is driven with a stepper motor. There's no real diagnostics for this. I'd start by plugging in a used motor from a cluster from the salvage yard. They're a very low failure item so any you find will likely be good. If that doesn't solve it, replace the entire cluster and bolt in your current odometer to keep the original mileage.
