1992 Chrysler Le Baron Ignition & Keys

I lost the keys to my car and the ignition has already Ben replaced by a previous owner and I do not have the key code for it and I went to a lock smith and he said if he made a key it would only work the door I would have to buy a new ignition and I need to know what to buy or if anyone knows where I could get one online ? Thank you ?!
