How do I changed the manual transmission fluid on my 1992 silverado K1500 4.3L

My truck after shifting into gear, jerks hard like the transmission is not getting into gear correctly. The fluid has never been changed that I know of

The fill plug should be on the side and to the top of the transmission -dunno where its at but look real close and drain plug bottom side and put in 80W90 gear oil-
