Will start fine, idles fine, coolant level is fine, transmission level is fine, oil level is fine. When driving for mid to long periods of time (15min+) at a set speed, when i slow down car starts to***** and then dies like it over heated. Engine gets really hot, car wont start or shift once it does start for up to 1 hour. Any ideas as to what is happening?

with the engine hot and running, open the hood and check to see if the cooling fan is turning. overheating can be caused by a thermostat stuck closed.
