My daughter called and said the transmission on the Roadmaster station wagon had no drive 1st and 2nd worked so did reverse but no drive. If it was repairable from the outside I could drive the 2 hours to repair it because I am out of work. If I was working I would pay for the trans. I'm good with engines but I don't know much about transmissions. Engine is a 350 I don't know the liters as question above asks

Didn't see reply button at bottom. I just want to know what would make the transmission not work in drive but all other gears work is there a solenoid that needs to be replaced or linkage adjustment or some other thing that these transmissions are know for. Just so she doesn't have to replace the transmission

If I had the money I would give it to her 700 dollars for the trans shop but Monster has a trans for under 1000 and a 3 year guarantee but I'm sure a person would have to replace the torque converter also. She is on her own
