Replaced my ignition switch. Turned key to accesories they came on. Then turned to crank and everything just died. No power. No lights no locks nothing. Tried unhooking everything and put back together. Still nothing. Except for beeping when door is open. Its not the regular door chime its lighter sounding and faster. I turn on headlights and no power but there is a relay clicking somewhere.

If it wont crank with the lock cylinder pulled out it obviously doesnt matter if its a new key or not.

Ok smart guy... My original lock cylinder broke. The part stores dont carry just the replacement cylinder u have to by switch and cylinder. So i pulled the lock out. Was cranking w a pair of needle nose. There is a release point in the switch as it turns back to disengage the starter. It stopped catching that release point. So i could get it to crank but the starter was still engaged the whole time. Instead of releasing the starter and keep running it would either stay cranking or just shut off. So now back to the problem at hand sir.

Everything is dead. No int or ext lights. No horn. No dash. No elec locks. But the door chime is barely ringing. Theres a relay next to radiator that clicks when it chimes. If i turn the headlights on there is no light but a different relay clicks. This one is in box next to driver side strut. For a sec the normal door chime came back but when i turned key it stopped and started chiming different and quieter. Ive hooked jump box to battery but it makes no difference. The battery is new and not the prob..

Ok. So i got the ignition switch to work. It turns the car over but it wont start. I think it has something to do with the security system. Its turns over but its like its not getting any gas so it must be the fuel kill. Ive turned the key in every door but its not reseting. Ive also locked the door, reached in the window to try and set alarm off but nothing happens. Its like the fuel is killed but the alarm wont go off from the door opening. Ive unhooked the battery and unplugged the security box under the hood. Plugged everything back in but it still doesnt reset alarm and it still just turns over without starting. So, is there any other way to rreset the security or completely bypass it?

Ive tried it with my old key and the one that came with the switch. Neither key will work. Its not the key. The security alarm doesnt work on the doors. It wont sound the alarm when i try to set it off. Ive taken cylinder out and tried cranking w pliers but it just turns over and over. Need to find a way to reset security or disconnect.......

I finally got the security system to come on. Alarm and kill switch are working. But it still wont start. Just keeps turning over. I disconnected the fuel line under hood and its not getting gas. Put on new fuel pump relay. Still no gas. Does the security kill the fuel pump. If the rest of the security is working im gonna guess that the fuel pump is being stopped by security or the pump is bad. Ive never had pump issues b4 so is it possible that it just went out? It was working fine the other day.
