Will a head gasket sealant work?

I put my car in storage. After draining the coolant, I stupidly decided to run the engine for a few minutes to get any last gas remaining out (I did drain the tank at the gas filter). I watched the temperature gauge, but of course without coolant it never showed that I overheated the engine (which I'm sure I did). Upon start-up 5 years later, I find a small coolant leak near the rear of the engine. The car runs fine and does not overheat. I don't think there is coolant in the oil.

My question is whether any of the head gasket sealants on the market would buy me a year or so until I have the time to replace the head gasket myself. Ideally I would use a product that I can just pour in the coolant and forget (like K&W fiberlock head gasket & block repair).

Thank you.
