what orange wire? there is a safety switch on the clutch, normally under dash

I guess I'm confussed I thought a neutral safety switch and clutch switch was different. So a manual trans has to be in park to start like a neutral safety switch. Ok the plug that goes on the neutral safety switch has two wire that make a connect tothat make the car able to start in park and neutral but in no other gears. I need to know what those wires are connected to I have a wire that us orange might not be original. Di where do the wires connect to

You should be replying to your original post and not postt new threads. We can't be chasing after you with each new post.

For automatic transmission it is called the Park and Neutral Position switch but it is some times refered to as Neutral switch. I just want to make sure I get the correct information and not go around in circles for nothing.

Transmission need not be in park to start for manual transmission, you only need to depress the clutch.

Neutral safety switch at clutch pedal should have only 2 wires but if you have cruise control, that would be 4 wires. Likewise the brake pedal switch has the same wires configuration.

For starting circuit, only the Black and Black/White wires are used for the switch to operate the starter relay. Disconnect and bridge them to see if you are able to crank. Black/White is the ground circuit.
