ok, you cured my bad solennoid problem for stasrting, THANK YOU.

Now I have a starter lock out switch problem. I have to jump to start somes times (to solenoid you fixed), i am trying to adjust the shifing lever in the floor shift to get the xmsn in the proper position via the lock out switch to start.

question: should i just replace the lock out switch?? it still operates the xmsn or is the switch prone to wear after the excessive use (3000,000 miles)?????

By "lockout switch", can I assume you mean the neutral safety switch, and not the ignition switch? If so, you don't adjust the shifter cable for that. The range of the shift lever inside the car is just the same as for the lever on the transmission, so the cable is adjusted to put the transmission in "park" when the shift handle is in "park". Then they should still be in sync in every other gear.

Once that is done, the neutral safety switch is rotated so it's on and the starter relay can turn on when the transmission is in "park" and "neutral". That is done after the cable is properly adjusted.

The neutral safety switch doesn't wear out due to mileage. In fact, it has no idea how many miles are on the car. It wears out based on the number of times it moves back and forth. The switches for this car are not known to have a lot of problems.
