cars been stored for 4 yrs they use to work. maybe it's the switch but it has so many wires 6 i think and it's hard to get at but the harness plug is easy to get at if i just knew which wires were which? thanks

I looked at wiring info for a 91. Diagram below. Some possible issues, blown fuse-- brake switch-- turn signal/multifunction switch-- wiring circuit. Did you check for voltage and ground at the rear? Do the turn signals work, at the rear?

At the stop lamp switch, pink wire with dark blue tracer is voltage, hot all the time, use voltage tester, if no voltage check fuse. Take connector loose from brake switch, if there is voltage on the proper wire, use a jumper wire between the pink wire with dark blue tracer and white wire with tan tracer, the brake lites should come on, if they do, suspect the brake switch.

it's actually an 89. turn signals, flashers, reg lights all work. although it's funny the back up lights have a 2 wire plug but a dual element(3wire) bulb? tried single bulb but socket tab is wrong for it. dont think it's related anyway. backups dont work either by the way.

ok.....it was as simple as #16 fuse missing! how that happened is beyond me?

Glad you got it going your way. The top title said 91, guess I missed the other year. They are still trying to work the bugs out on the site.
