What could cause overheating with no leaks?

When the car overheats steam is shooting from the front top section of the engine. Its blowing out just to the right of the throttle linkage setup. What could this be?

Dont know where the steam is comming from cant see it.Even if it is overheating it should boil over the cap not blow out some where on the engine.Maybe its a hose or gasket?What temp is it running at when its overheating?Are both upper and lower radiator hoses getting really hot?Is the radiator cooling fan working correctly?

We felt the top hose and it was hot and about normal as far as how hard it was to squeeze. Also there's no numbers on the temp guage but it was about 3/4 up. And the cooling fans seemed to be working properly.

When its hot you need to make sure the upper and lower radiator hoses are both getting really hot.If there not you could have a bad thermostat causing the overheating.Also you could get a coolant pressure tester to find that leak in the middle of the engine.
