how do i get electric 4wd to disengage?

used 4x4, low range 2 days ag...swithed back to 2wd, lights went off...still stuck in 4x4 low...tried backing up per manual...???
just started back to work...waiting for 1st payday...need my truck!!!!!

jack the rear of the truck up so the wheels are off the ground. the motor in the transfer case may be loaded and unable to release from 4 x 4.
