1991 jaguar xj 6 4.0 have to try to start car 4 or 5 times every time you start it you can easse into acceleration but if you floor it it dies or bogs down and back fires through intake

Have you checked the spark plugs? Seems the engine is mifiring and bad spark pugs or related components can cause that.
