I replaced the heater core as well as the switch on the lines just before the heater core and now it is blowing no or little heat

You might have air in the system. To bleed air out of a coolant system do the following;
Remove the radiator cap once truck is cool
Turn heater temperature all the way to hottest setting
Start truck and allow to reach operating temperature
Top off the radiator and reserviour and replace the cap
Remove the radiator cap once truck is cool
