I just need to find a quick at home do-able temporary fix for my gas leak so I can drive to work and back safely until I get the parts.

Right under the driver's side rear door, I'm not entirely sure but I believe it is rubber.

If its rubber you can get a ribbed hose connector and a couple of hose clamps.

If its rubber and its a low psi return line then you can fix it with fuel injection rubber hose and clamps. If its a pressure line it will need a fuel line repair kit

Follow the line if it leads to a fuel filter then its the pressure line.

okay. I'm a little worried now because I went and looked again and it's cracked to where it attaches at the end. Would you possibly know a rough estimate of how much it would take to just bring it in and get the gasline replaced?

You need to trace the line and see if its a pressur or return line. The return line is quick and easy to fix

But it's cracked where it connects I believe to the gas tank. I think it's just settle my mind to just get it replaced. So now I'm just wondering how much it would cost?

If the tank has to be removed your looking @ at least 2.0 hours pluse parts. Fuel tank and or fuel sender assy or a line repair.

Was the problem immediately after the repair? If so, it is curious. Did you double check the work? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Check for vacuum leaks. Block off the mouth of throttle-body, engine idling, does it have any effect on the idle?
Clean throttle-body and idle air control.

your not a smoker are you? but hey, if the car torches ya might get money for a new 1 right? why not drain tank first cause that makes it more explosive? you could add some water to kill that notion?
