I need a picture of the end of the crankshaft on my 1990 Legacy 2.2L, to see if enough of the keyway is left to reinstall crankshaft pulley before I buy another one; I guess my ques. would be is it salvageable? (I did the water pump/timing belt myself in Aug., evidently torque on crankshaft pulley bolt was insufficient)ran OK til now .LOL

If the slot in the crankshaft has been elongated so that a new key won't fit tight and solid, then your crankshaft is ruined and that will likely mean a new motor.

as I said, I need a comparison picture to determine that.Using a mirror, I see that the key is still partially there (on the crankshaft sprocket) is this the same slot for the pulley? if so, I guess the majority of the keyway is gonzo, and it wouldn't be worth it to put on the pulley,eh?
