Sometimes it takes a while for the tranny fluid to get circulated again after the fluid has been drained.
I've had the same problem before, with changing tranny fluid and filter. Trying to get it to my acreage in the country, hung in low, I was going to junk it. It drove about 4 miles in low before it finally shifted, no problems after that. I'm not a tranny person, I can't recommend you drive it, with it hung in low. I'm just telling you what happened to mine.
