We bought a 1990 lexus ls400. When we start the car the 2 front fans start to run but then shuts off. Into 15mins of driving the temperature will start to rise a bit fast to high the line right before the h. We pull over pop the hood and there is a little smoke coming from the front driver side. We changed the thermostat and was told to change the temp sensor. Have any idea on what might be the problem?

I agree with that. the temp sensor tells the electric fans to come on when a certain temp is reached. check to make sure its plugged in before you buy a new one. its usually in the tstat housing or the radiator. it'll look like a brass bolt with a plastic plug coming out of it that the wire is plugged into
