1990 gmc pu, my check gauges lite came on and my oil pressure is registering past 60. What can cause that.

Past 60psi-could be the oil pressure relief valve not opening-check it with a mechanical gauge

Is the oil pressure relief valve the same as the oil pressure switch,oreily only show a switch not valve?

No, the oil pressure relief valve is in the oil pump-the switch reads the pressure-the oil pressure relief valve controls the oil pressure
