Fords commonly use the power steering pump for brake assist pressure. It can have an adverse affect on either and can get to be a very high pressure situation whichh will cause one of the two wtsyems to suffer. You might take not aof the brakeing and see if it does not start to change. Check the pump pullley for play as that is a sign it is going bad.
