Radiator is blowing coolant into overflow until it's gone.

Doesn't matter if the cap's on or not. It's like there's considerable air pressure somewhere in the system.

I'm beginning to think blown headgasket or airlock

That'd eventualy run out though wouldn't it. This goes on seemingly without end...

Go get a head check done, this is a fairly simple and cheap chemical test to check for Co in the cooling system.If positive you will have a head gasket problem.
