Dodge ram 2500, speedo quit working, replaced speed sensor, what would be the next step

I replaced the one on the transmission. The ABS light has not come on.

Do me a favor, based on different options, there could be a speed sensor on the top of the rear differential. Check to see if there is one there. If there is, check to see if there is continunity through it.

Yes, there is one on top of differential. Tried to remove plug from ABS sensor on the differential, plug and sensor was corroded very bad. I ordered plug and sensor. I will replace them, but I had to order them, parts houses and dealer did not stock them. Thanks for your help. Joe
