If engine was rotated with distributor out, make sure #1 piston is on top dead center of compression stroke. Stab the dist., you may have to work it a little to get gears to mesh. After you get the dist. down and bolted, where ever the rotor is pointing, is #1 spark plug tower. Follow the firing order around the cap. Note info below
