1990 cadillac eldorado. im trying to get the upper shaft of the steering wheel out. its a two piece plastic ball of the steering wheel that came apart. i disconnected the bolt on the knuckle, tried to pull it out, but it doesnt want to pull out much. what am i doing wrong?

The steering column has to be removed and then totally disassembled. That will require some special tools also.

i recommend a mobile steering repair repair co. only reason you would have to remove the tilt knuckle is a stolden recovery with a damaged col. or the starting rack is broken.whats up
