I'd like to ask a question about the torque converter wire going into the transmission of my car.

For a long time I was having a problem with my car stalling out on me when I would drive and then come to a stop. It would happen every time I drove the car. So I took it to my mechanic who unplugged that wire and said that should fix the problem. So far the car is running great but my question is, will it do any kind of damage to my car leaving that wire unplugged?

Damage no but fuel consumption would increase.

Fuel Consumption? How is that wire fuel related? I don't understand.

That is for locking up the torque converter so that you have a direct drive when certain conditions are met. Without it the engine would be running at a slightly rpm while cruising.
