Just bought 89 Mitsubishi Galant it idles smooth in nuetral, but a little rough when transmission is in drive.
New plugs plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, new air and fuel filter. Compression 165 on all 4 cylinders
The main problem is while driving the engine will shutter for a second every 20-30 seconds as if it is shutting off.
Can take it up to 90 mph and it does not seem fuel starved but shutter is still there, but just a faster shutter.
Does not seem to do these when engine cold only after warmed to normal operating temp.
