What damage would reversing positive and negative?

Cause when battery jumping cables were placed on the wrong terminals momentarily? My battery was low and tried to jump the car the cables were reversed and when I tried a fresh charged battery no lights or electrical voltage. Does the wiring harness have fuse links protection?

Check main fuses under hood, and yes there are fuseable links. However, damage can still happen to different components. Most often, main fuses take the hit in the power distribution box under the hood.
