Sluggish Acceleration

1989 mercedes 560sel sluggish acceleration. Goes real slow off the line and then builds up speed. replaced fuel pumps and filters, no problem with realy, pressure is ok.

Have you done a trans service, is the trans slipping at all?

is the vacuum advance/retard working if that model has 1? was any work done recently to car?

Done Trans, no slipping. Recent work was valve cover seals, rear seal, plenum replaced, fuel pump and filter replaced, pressure ok, converters clear, relay ok,sluggish until gets going and then cruises fine. Hard to start, but idles fine.

Check fuel filters and there is a small strainer in the injection head at the inlet pipe.

Fuel filter is new, injector distributor is clean.
