Stalls at idle, what should the vacuum be? This is a carburetted 4.0.

Check for vacuum leaks. It should be around 17. Also, there is an idle solenoid on the side of the carb. Make sure it is working. The throttle will rest against it to maintain a set idle.

IF YOU CAN CYPHER THRU THIS OLD POST (SOME OF THE PUNCTUATION DID NOT CARRY OVER DURING SITE UPGRADE) THIS WORKS SOMETIMES AND IS EZ TO DO!
