when i turn on the ignition it blows the blinker fuse I recently had the column replaced could a pinched wire in the column be the problem?

The blinker switch isn't run through the ignition switch. Therefore, something tells me they have a couple wires pinched. The only thing you can do is take the column apart and start checking it.
