why cant i move my shifter normaly into any gear or into neutral?

recently replaced clutch and slave cyclinder. added oil to tranny. reverse light is on. truck starts normally. truck moves when i slowly release clutch. truck is in gear. i think shifter linkage moved when i removed shift lever from tranny during tranny disassembly. how do i move shift linkage back to a position so that the stick shift moves into/out of gears normally. i used a screw driver to move shift rods but no luck.

There may be air in the hydraulic system. So bleed tham by the following;

Keep the Master Cylinder reserviour full of fluid.
Get a wrench tht fits the bleed screw on the slave cylinder. This is to loosen, which will release fluid, and tighten to stop or seal the system.
Have an assistant pump the clutch pedal 3-5 times and hold it to the floor.
Loosen the bleed screw and let fluid expel into either a rag or even better a clear piece of tubing that fits bleed screw snugly and have it go over the a point higher than the bleed screw and dump into a bottle to collect fluid.
With the clear tubing you can see if there is air in the line still and when it stops coming out.
Never let the assistant let the pedal up at all until the bleed screw is tightened.
Repeat procedure and keep the fluid filled as letting it drop to bottom will let air into system.
Test the clutch and see if bleeding made a difference.

From what I found the linkage is not adjustable and the only other thing to check is the tranny fluid level which should be level with the fill hole.
