Any easy way to get the shift lever off the steering column?

their is a pin that goes through the shift bowl use a punch to get it out.then the lever can be removed.

Sorry wrong shirt lever, the one in the engine compartment?

youll need to buy new shift linkage bushings.when u pry them out there done.just use adjustable pliers to pry it out and reinstall the linkage the same way.
