When I turn my steering wheel it makes a really loud annoying clicking noise?

Steering problem. When I turn my steering wheel it makes a really loud annoying clicking noise. I'm not really sure what it is. I was told it could a cv joint or axle. But I really don't know. Can you help me out?

If this clicking noise is while turning as you are driving I would be having the C.V's inspected. This is a common problem with FWD cars.
