1988 Lincoln Town Car headlights

I have an 88 lincoln town car and ive been having trouble with the headslights going on and off. When the lights turn on automatically its starts to flicker on and off including the dash lights brake lights.....when I pull the switch to turn on the lights only the headlight flicker on and off. Any idea as to what it might be.

It sounds like the switch itself is bad. I would start by checking that first.

Once the switch is out, check it for operation as well as make sure the wiring to it is tight and free of corrosion before removing it.

Let me know what you find.

How would I check for operations and is there a video or diagram as to how to replace the switch...dont want to do something wrong and have to spend more money
