My 88 Lincoln Town Car keeps stalling out when i turn the car on. In order for it to stay running i need to keep my foot on the gas peddle. It never did this before until i installed a new water pump please help.

Check to see if you may have disconnected any vacuum hoses that are creating a leak. Also, make sure the idle air control valve is working properly.

where would the vacuum hoses at near the water pump and the idle air control valve?
