i answered this already, you cannot re charge. it is the job of the power steering pump if it is hydraulic. if not, it is electrical from a motor on the side. either way, you cannot do it, the system does it. if it has failed, it needs to be replaced

ABS accum. has to be charged by pump motor, through pressure switch. Brown. anti-lock relay on firewall could be the reason abs/red brake lights are coming on causing hard pedal. Test voltage to relay, pump, pressure switch;etc.. If you can jump tan wire/yellow stripe to dk. brn gray wire / red stripe(wire pin #3-4 in brn. relay) the pump motor should run. Pressure switch reaches a calibrated level of pressure that allows accumulator to work every 3-5 brake pedal presses. Many times hard pedal w/ abs-red brake panel lights on indicate accum. not holding high enough pressure or quite possibly brakes need to be bled to remove air. Check elec. first for 12v. brake lines/system for air leaks. Even wheel/brake sensors.
