What do you have out, the ignition switch or lock cylinder? I looked at c1500 pickup. The pink wire at the coil goes hot with the key on. With the connector loose from ignition switch, check the pink wire pin 11 for voltage. Could have faulty connector or the wiring circuit is shorted to voltage, somewhere along the circuit.

i have a 1970 chevy c/k pick up 350 motor automatic transmission problem is i accidentaly crossed wires on my battery causing some of my harness to short/fry i changed the main ignition wire that took the brunt of the short an i checked inline fuses an changed the ones that went now the problem is i seem not to be getting a charge to battery it starts i can disconnect the battery an it keeps running i changed the regulator an had the alternator bench tested there is no fusible link wish there had been

Did you check the fusible link in the diagram? Voltage regulator? Generator? other wiring?
