when i start the car, i pull out choke, car starts easily idles on choke for 20 seconds or so then it starts blowing huge amounts of blue smoke for 20/30 seconds then it stops. Enough smoke to hide the car. It doesnt blow smoke at any other time. I gave it an oil change with 20 w 40 but seems to be worse. Car drives ok, doesnt lack power, no water in oil, or oil in water

Blue smoke is oil burning, I would start with a leak down test to check rings and check for ash deposits on the plugs, this will help identify a suspect cylinder.
