1987 Porsche 944 remove torque tube

I have a shop manual it does not show whether I pull the transmission & rear bell housing then pull torque tube or pull the axle with the trans and torque tube altogether

iwould imagine so as they only give instructions for a manual in that year. because of an automatic i'm sure it's a little different. but not that much.
