1987 olds cranks starts every once in awhile then floods out or stops

Mechanic says it catches every once in awhile but then cuts out. He is as baffled as i am. Changed balancer,sensor,four plugs,two wires. Has spark,ignition,fuel pressure. What could it be?

Its the 3.8 liter v6

it sounds like your tech is not that good with diags.

Assuming you have spark and fuel, these motors have injector issues. they pull down the signal to the ecm and it wont start. i unplug them all, check the resistance, they all should be the same, and put 2 or 3 back on in random order to see if it starts.
