you may have a bad new pump. it is possible to get bad new parts.

check for kinked hoses especially in the tank.

well, there still is an issue if the pump is running. i know this sounds stupid but fuel level in the tank could be an issue as well.

if not, then it is time you got help from a shop who can visually inspect the system

I DON'T KNOW YOUR RIG

IT'S A LOT NEWER THAN BOTH OF MINE....BUT PEOPLE CONSIDER YOURS OLD

HAVE YOU TINKERED (OR CAN IT EVEN BE DONE?) WITH THE WIRING (OR OVER THE YEARS IT HAS BEEN TINKERED WITH) AND POSSIBLY SOMEHOW CROSSED THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE TO THE PUMP----NOW IT'S RUNNING....BACKWARDS????

THIS MIGHT ACCOUNT FOR HEARING IT AND IT NOT PICKING UP THE FUEL??

OK.....I'LL STAY OUT NOW
