Hello, and thank u for your time in advance. Okay, so the issue I am having is with the coolant temp. sensor or ECT. I checked on the manifold near the thermostat housing where the repair manual says it should be located and there appears to be 2 vacuum switches; but, no coolant temp. sensor. Also, the plug wire for an coolant temp. sensor seems to be missing. I have checked every connector on the manifold and I can not find the coolant temp. sensor or a plug-in connection for one. My question is 2 parts: 1. Do I really need this part 2. How do I resolve this issue if I do need it?
