AC heater blower fan not working on any speed

Do you have a multimeter to do some testing?If so turn on your blower on high and check at the motor connector and see what your missing power or ground?

I do have one but iam not that educated on it yet. Could you explain this procedure to me? Do I check it by unplugging the blower and testing the connector going back to the blower resistor?

Correct you unplug it and check it right at the terminals you check the ground to ground using the low scale ohms setting it should read 2ohms or less to ground.Then with the meter lead still hooked to ground check the power lead for battery voltage.

I had the meter set on the Resistance function (think thats the right setting for ohms) and the ground had a reading of .33. The power had nothing. Unplugged the wires in the console for the blower speed control switch and didn't have power to that. I went to the fuses and tested the follow with a circuit tester and had no power to any. The AC or Heater Blower motor in slot 4, Back up lamps in slot 2 and the Inst LP in slot 12.

Sorry it took so long to respond but i havent been getting my email alerts to say i got response to questions i have answered.See if you have power on both sides of the blo fuse in the underhood fuse box.

Couldn’t find a under the hood fuse box, but I did find bunch of fusible links. There is a cable that plugs into the positive cable of the battery that as a rubber looking connector with 5 or 6 fusible links coming out of it. I looked at those fusible links and did find one that was blown. It’s the one that feeds into the ignition switch which then feeds the number 2 (radiator relay) and number 4 (blower motor) fuses. I am going to try and replace the blown fusible link but not sure how to get the new fusible link connected to that rubber connector. Any ideal?

Your just going to have to get some universal fuseable link and splice it in with a butt connector the ones you heat up to seal each side of the openings.

I have gone to several local parts stores and have had no luck on anyone knowing what I should use. The one that blew is a 18 gauge fusible link. What I have found online is a Dorman -Conduct-Tite Fusible Link Wire Carded Chrysler 18 Gauge. Is this ok to use? Can I replace it with a Maxi fuse? If so, what would be the rating?

Yes that would work as long as its the same gauge.I dont know what amp fuse that would be the same as i you make the new one goes in with connectors.I would test the blower motor and radaitor fan before installing it.
