my last question was in regards to a cracked starter housing. While working on that, I noticed a fuel leak. I traced it to the dip stick tube. I removed the tube and a lot of fuel/gas mix exited. I drained the oil and noticed gas mixed with the oil. What can cause this ?? I recently changed the oil, but that is all I have done prior to this situation. When the car was running, I never noticed any problem with the engine. I have not installed the starter yet since I found this problem thank you for your help

fuel in gas can be from a couple of things, a leaky fuel pump for one leaking inside engine or starting car up driving a few miles then shutting it down. It doesn't get enough time to warm sufficiently to get all the crap out of the oil. Also if your carb leaks fuel after you shut it down it has to go someplace. Any of those can cause gas in oil. if you only start and drive then go and drive it about 20-30 miles on eway that should stop it.
