1987 Chevy Corsica mileage: 229,300. After ten miles my car will stall when coming to a stop. I am able to start engine immediately but it will stall when put into gear. After the engine is cool for about five minutes, able to take load on engine and drive for a short distance. Maybe fuel filter needs replaced. I just got the car. Previous owner did not experience this problem. The car sat for six months before I got it. The car also surges a lot when driving a steady speed. Any suggestions on where to look?
