how can you tell if a radiator is clogged up i can put a water hose in it and the water runs thru it but i'm no expert so i'm not sure its on a 1986 toyota 4-runner 2.4 engine

Radiators are made up of many individual core tubes, although you can get flow, you may still have many blocked tubes and if so cooling is drastically affected, only a radiator repair shop can remove the top and bottom tanks and check and clean the core tunes.
