Heater kicks off and on only works some of the time. I will start it and it will work. I will shut it off and come back some hours later it will not work at all. Driving down the road and it just kicks on randomly.

The fan motor is due for replacement. When it does not work, bang the fan motor housing with your hands and most likely it would come back on.
