engine will turn over and konk out. will not stay on. noticed crankcase oil dip stick way above the add mark
(looks overfilled)

If there is more oil in it now than when it was changed there may be coolant getting in the oil. This means you have a bad head gasket which would give you low compression and explain the stalling.
