My temperature gauge will fluctuate slightly while driving...from between the 'N' and 'O' ( NORMAL) that is marked on the temperature gauge. On one occasion the needle on the temp gauge pegged rapidly to the right, then rapidly fell back to its proper position.
I burped the system and after driving felt the hoses. The upper hose was untouchably hot from thermostat housing to radiator. The lower radiator hose was barely warm at best...more on the colder side. The upper hose also was pressurized.
With the temp gauge fluctuating ever so slightly while driving...could it be that the themostat needs replaced?
Could the temperature sending unit be faulty, or could this be a sign of a partially blocked radiator?
